Dan is the founder of Bolt Collective, a community of travelers coming together to unlock otherwise impossible experiences like a fleet of boats sailing through the fjords of Norway, a horseback expedition across Northwest Iceland, and a private island takeover off the coast of Honduras.
Dan’s adventures have taken him to 50+ countries, with stints living in Argentina, the Czech Republic, and Mexico, long bicycle rides across the United States and New Zealand, an (ultimately ill-advised) 500 mile walk across the island of Cuba, and planned travel for friends and family across Panama, Argentina, France, and Thailand.
Dan’s professional background is in the production of experiences for brands like Airbnb and the Rockefeller Foundation. He’s also the creator of Subway Sets, a sold-out concert series bringing New York’s best underground musicians up to rooftops above the city. Previously, Dan worked in growth marketing at technology companies Lyft, venture capital firm the Collaborative Fund, and Getable. Listen to the inside story of how Dan transformed his passion for travel and adventure into the Bolt Collective.
Since Brent was a kid, he remembers helping his dad with the family company, Kline Motor, where modifications to Vans and RV’s have always been a part of the family trade. While Kline Van has up-fitted passenger vans for companies for years, Brent started VanDOit to meet the demand of the adventure van lifestyle and movement that’s taken off in the past few years.
As a huge adventure seeker himself, Brent’s passionate that the minds behind the VanDOit movement are driven by a passion for adventure: people who bike, moto, surf, ski, hike, camp, run, fish, hunt, climb… Those who love the thrill of being free on the open road and seek the freedom, adventure, excitement-and the means to do those things. For Brent, the desire to live those passions started from the day he could hold a wrench and work on a car. Listen to the inside story behind Brent’s journey here.
